 Job Summary:

The primary mission of this position is to be the liaison between Information Technology, Marketing, and Sales teams. You will be a critical component of the growth and transformation of the company and will actively participate in meeting marketing goals and increasing brand awareness. Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating, managing and editing documentation of technical topics and products in efforts to promote, market and increase B2B software sales
  • Serve as a hands-on customer facing technologist and product advocate by communicating and demonstrating the company story, vision and technology to prospects and customers
  • Map out the necessary content strategy. Write technical blog articles, landing pages, white papers, email campaigns, and case studies as part of the core marketing initiative. Create technical product brochures, e-books used to market to users and prospects as needed.
  • Work with marketing team to develop layouts and information graphics based on your written content. Be flexible to modify the writing based on the design needed. Engage with external vendors to drive thought leadership pieces for external publications
  • Work hands-on with prospects and customers to show business value throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to solution architecture to customer success
  • Become the voice of our customers internally to drive product enhancements and road map
  • Demonstrates the technical aspects of how the product solves specific customer problems and translates specific customer problems into technical solutions
  • Identifies all technical issues of assigned accounts to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process
  • Local travel approximately 30% - Travels includes campaign road shows, panel discussion, conferences, etc. in the Washington D.C. Metro Area

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT-related studies (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) OR Communications-related studies (Journalist, PR, English Literature, etc.) OR equivalent work experience in technical writing environment
  • 2+ years of work experience in software documentation, technical marketing, technical writing, product advocacy, or other similar experience
  • Demonstrable interest in software, technology, technical writing, and marketing
  • Provable fluency in technology. Strong technical understanding of C# development, web applications, SQL Servers, Oracle DBs, Azure, and JavaScript libraries. Bonus for knowledge of additional technologies, features and functionalities 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) with ability to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technology users
  • Strong ability to prioritize effectively and manage/meet deadlines
  • Excellent collaboration and diplomacy skills - credibly and comfortably interact with techies, early adopters, technophobes, senior executives, managers, stakeholders, work groups/user groups and more to gain buy-in and consensus on priorities
  • Obtain technical chops and innate curiosity to learn quickly and independently
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout sales cycle
  • Excellent knowledge of the rules of writing
  • Knowledge of and advance level skill with Microsoft (MS) Office Suite



  • Background in Sales or previous Brand Ambassador/Product Demonstration experience
  • Experience writing/managing organizations’ social media posts
  • Systems engineering, business analyst, or project management skills
