CTMS Business Analyst Summary:

This position will lead the planning and implementation of the Forte – OnCore clinical trials management system (CTMS) for the client. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation and execution of the OnCore CTMS, working with the OnCore Implementation Governance Committee to establish clear project goals and objectives. Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports and project updates. Collaborate with the client for integration with the Epic electronic medical record. Regularly monitor significant issue tracking and ongoing costs. Facilitate the migration of data from the current CTMS systems into OnCore. Serves as the liaison between Forte and the client. Establishes accurate and well communicated implementation procedures. Must be able to work independently.

CTMS Business Analyst Job Responsibilities:

  • 35% - Serve as the product manager for the OnCore Implementation. Understand and provide recommendations for the application set up to align with client's organizational goals for clinical research.
  • 15% - In consultation with the Director for the Office of Clinical Trials, recruit interview and select staff with the appropriate skills for project activities. Manage the project staff according to established university policies and practices. Ensure all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the university and project.
  • 50% - Develop and implement data migration plan from current clinical trials management systems. Establish a communication plan and schedule to update key stakeholders by facilitating and contributing to weekly statues meeting with OnCore and the client's project team. Facilitate monthly meetings with the OnCore Implementation Governance Committee, providing status updates. Develop forms and records to document project activities. Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured. Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project. Review the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards. Respond to inquiries from key stakeholders and end-users. Troubleshoot issues.

CTMS Business Analyst Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge – Professional – Professional knowledge and skill in the social/clinical research principals, methods and processes (technical and/or theoretical) used to conduct a systematic and objective inquiry including study design, methods of data/information collection and analysis, and interpreting and reporting results. Knowledge of statistics and related information technology and database storage and management. Ability to keep current with developments and trends in area of expertise.
  • Project Design – Ability to plan and coordinate methods and techniques to meet social/clinical research objectives, including project resources, methods of data/information collection, and quality control.
  • Social/Clinical Research Project/Program Administration – Ability to manage (i.e. direct the affairs or interests of) and administer social/clinical research project/ program tasks, activities, protocols, and timelines. Ability to manage resources and monitor activities associated with the progression of the project/program.
  • Data/Information Analysis/Management – Ability to monitor, collect, and maintain research data/information to assess its accuracy, validity, and integrity. Ability to perform statistical analysis. Ability to interpret and evaluate results. Ability to prepare reports and/or presentations. Ability to conduct trend and impact analysis. Ability to project probable outcomes. Ability to create and maintain databases and apply criteria for interaction of data.
  • Communication – Ability to convey clear and concise information verbally and in written form. Ability to effectively present ideas to individuals or groups to ensure that they understand the information and message. Ability to present research results and summaries and adhere to reporting requirements of research project/program. Ability to contribute to the writing of publications, reports, and products.
  • Instruction – Ability to instruct and train research subjects, staff, students, and/or other clients in performance of procedures.
