Business Analyst Job Summary:

The Business Analyst - Master Data collaborates with the various cross-functional domain owners (e.g. Commercial, Finance, IT and Operations), to implement improvements to in-process programs and deliver streamlined solutions, data requirements and processes for company wide deployment.  They will work closely with the IT Architects, internal MDM partners, analytics partners, data owners and relevant functional roles.

Business Analyst Job Responsibilities:
  • Assess data for patterns and issues relative to defined standards
  • Seek and implement improvements in data integrity, alignment across systems, to improve delivery of information to business users. (e.g. Master Data Management, Business Intelligence, ERP transactional, operational and performance information).
  • Evaluate current and ongoing data for inconsistencies and areas of alignment
  • Communicate findings and outcomes in terms of visualization and key tracking measures
  • Review existing transactional and business processes to prepare process maps to provide insight into both business and transactional requirements.
  • Build and translate into fields and for eventual reporting.
  • Evaluate existing processes for improvements, identify, and implement enhancement initiatives
  • Provide on-going review of process and identification of continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to implement an improved initial data set-up, existing data cleansing or mass data creation
  • Assist with the design, testing, and implementation of new process and/or enhancements to the systems that support master data.
  • Implement processes and data output that provide visibility to key internal controls and controls monitoring
  • Contribute to constant improvement in the quality and accuracy of the master data
  • Evaluate data audit reports vs. established rule sets to ensure consistency and accuracy of information, and update data as necessary.
  • Highlight to the business key data quality procedures to ensure data is complete, accurate, and timely
Business Analyst Job Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Master Data Management, Systems, Computer Science, Business, Operations Research / Management, Engineering, or related
  • 5+ years of experience including at least 2 in Master Data / Systems Role including management of master data organization
  • Experienced with SAP/HANA, Business Objects, Middleware products such as Dell Boomi, Microsoft products (Power BI, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Demonstrated experience in data set up and process including identification and implementation of process improvements
  • Familiarity with data sources and requirements to operate in today’s Healthcare environment, health systems, IDNs, clinics, physicians, payers, PBMs, etc.
  • Familiar with all Master Data areas of SAP with expert level technical skills
  • Excellent Excel and pivot table skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational, detail orientation and time management skills
